About J Hicks...From my earliest memories I’ve had a special knack for creating beauty in my own mind and the ability to see people, places and things in the most idealistic way.My husband and I travel frequently and this allows me to see and define what my heart and my eyes are drawn to. ![]() My hope and purpose is to touch souls, uplift the human spirit and bring a measure of joy to those who view my paintings. Art does nourish the soul and it brings me pleasure to know that others will enjoy my work. I've been blessed with a gift that I can share and know that this and not my artistic ability is the very best gift of all. I hope that my paintings will inspire you to join me as I continue this exhilarating journey. I enjoy painting special commissions, teaching, presenting demonstrations for clubs and organizations and entering juried competitions. My paintings have won awards and are held in many private collections. I'm a member of numerous painting societies and past President of the Central Texas Watercolor Society.....J Hicks ![]() This is one of my very earliest artistic endeavors.
